In July and August 2025, the second ever Esports World Cup took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – a celebration of the competitive side of gaming, featuring some of the globe’s most elite pros and teams.
I worked with the team behind the huge event to provide copywriting services throughout the event.
For the Esports World Cup Foundation, I worked with the PR team to provide copywriting services across a wide range of press releases, email newsletters, and LinkedIn posts throughout the duration of the event – which lasted seven weeks.
Many of these press releases were sent out to journalists just mere minutes after a game’s final had concluded, and as a result, I was required to edit, proofread, fact check and ensure clarity across each press release I was assigned with speed and dexterity.
In a nutshell:
